A Day in the Lifetime with Thomas at 22 Months

It is been a whilst months considering that the last time I did a post like this, and I’m so glad I’m at last sitting down to write it. Right after I wrote the last article (a working day in the life of Thomas 9 months), I liked hunting back again on it each and every several months and remembering our working day to working day with each other mainly because as we all know, time moves so rapid.

I also imagine posts like these are helpful when you’re in a comparable scenario or will be before long. I truly liked reading through some of my friends’ working day of the existence posts to know what to count on at unique levels with an infant and toddler! Obviously all little ones are diverse, and your working day in YOUR everyday living is going to seem absolutely different than mine, but I appreciated looking through my friend’s weblog post about her lifestyle with her small children due to the fact her little ones are more mature than mine, and she has wisdom that I really do not have nonetheless. (Michelle’s posts were being specially handy because she’s also a runner and performs for herself!)

There was a period of time in my life where by I employed to work 50-60 hrs a week (even up to 80 several hours a 7 days at a person issue) and it’s insane to go again and study what a day in my everyday living seemed like back again then! So if anything at all, these posts are entertaining for me to have recorded for myself, and I hope that a handful of of you achieve one thing from them as well.

Getting a mother is truly the best issue that is ever happened to me. And although it’s not achievable to do the job as substantially as I used to, which is turn out to be my new normal and I’m alright with it! I know that toddlers really don’t hold and I’m SO grateful that I’m able to spend so considerably time with Thomas through these types of a enjoyment phase because I now work for myself.

Okay, below is what a usual day appears like with Thomas at 22 months outdated! I really feel like we JUST had his one-12 months birthday party! It’s time to get started arranging his 2nd birthday get together!

A Working day in the Existence with Thomas at 22 Months

Here’s an ordinary working day in my lifetime these times! The occasions differ a large amount of system, but this is standard. Mondays or Fridays, I typically choose a “mom day” (i.e. we really don’t have a nanny) and I go on a field trip with him and only do the job through his nap!

6:00

My alarm goes off, I grab my gown, make a Nespresso and seize my Bible & devotional e-book. I’ll generally have a tranquil time from 6:15-6:45.

Given that an individual constantly asks what Nespresso pods I like, the Intenso and Stormio are my favored! I also adore the half caff pods and the decaf Melozio. (Here’s how I broke my caffeine dependancy – I used to have 8+ cups a working day.)

6:45

By 6:45, I commonly depart the house to run or I’ll head downstairs to my business to function right until Thomas wakes up about 7:30.  Tommy generally gets him in the morning so he’ll get started yelling “DAD!” really immediately soon after waking up. Once we all arrive downstairs all-around 7:45, I eat 1-2 items of toast for breakfast #1! (I never exercise fasted or skimp on carbs.)

8:00

If I did not run earlier, I run all-around 8:00 or 8:30. If it’s a mother-day, I may well endeavor to do a Peloton toughness course whilst Thomas plays or I’ll run with him in the stroller if it is not also warm. If I never work out, I try to eat, I eat breakfast and get the job done for a little bit. In the sizzling summer months, I’ll make a smoothie to consume and share it with Thomas because it’s a person of the only techniques I can get him to get in some veggies that are not cucumbers!  I freeze leftover smoothie into popsicle molds for Thomas which he enjoys as an afternoon snack. (My favourite smoothie combo recently is frozen blueberries, frozen banana, kale, Ripple milk, 1 scoop protein powder, chia seeds and floor flax.)

9:15

By 9:15, I hop in the shower and beginning getting completely ready for the day. Though I’m getting prepared, I film movies for Instagram reels. My reels are usually centered on elegance or fashion, so this time of day is effective ideal considering that I’m previously putting on make-up and getting dressed.

9:30

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I go to pilates. If it is Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, I’m typically operating at this time, drafting and reviewing blog site posts, producing newsletters and catching up on email messages.

11:30

Mid morning, I’ll typically movie reels. I use my tripod or my nanny to help! Often Thomas joins me for reels much too. 🙂

12:00

At noon I make lunch and consume with Thomas. He was these a fantastic eater when we initially started solids, but now he’s quite finicky. He presently enjoys grilled burgers, plain pasta, unsweetened non-dairy yogurt and blueberries. I normally make a salad or consume leftovers from supper the evening prior to.

12:30

I set Thomas down for his afternoon nap at 12:30 and pray he sleeps for a although. My nanny ordinarily leaves at this position! Each and every so often he nurses in advance of his nap. (See Thomas’s nursery right here! It will transform shortly when we transfer!)

12:30 – 2:30

This is function crunch time! My do the job in the afternoon usually entails like enhancing reels, examining far more blog site posts, strategizing for forthcoming information, triaging e-mail, etc. If he wakes up ahead of 1.5 several hours, he’ll normally just engage in in his crib for 20-30 minutes. When he starts yelling “MOOOOOM!!!” I get him.

2:30

Thomas is up! We engage in for a bit in his space (he enjoys puzzles and pulling socks out of his drawers). At times I return cellular phone calls all through this time also. I usually rotate his toys during this time as well. I test to swap out what toys he has out every 2 weeks. It’s so enjoyable to see how he plays otherwise with more mature toys as he ages! (We Really like the Lovevery playkits – they age so properly with him!)

3:30 – 4:30

I operate errands (groceries, returns, submit place of work, etc) in the afternoons. We typically halt by our new residence to examine on renovation development.

4:30

I start out to organize factors for supper. We may strike the park all-around 4:30 if it’s not much too hot!

5:30

I start supper as soon as Tommy receives home, and he will take Thomas out to the yard to golfing (he’s OBSESSED).

6:30 – 7:15

Eat and cleanse up the kitchen area. We also engage in Jeopardy as a relatives. Thomas is rather superior. 😉

7:30

Shorter stroll with Thomas. If he wants a tub, we skip the stroll and enable him play in the tub more time!

8:00 – 8:30

Thomas goes down someday in between 8 and 8:30. Tommy cleans the kitchen area and places up the bath things although I set Thomas down. S

8:30

Tommy goes to the golfing training course to hit balls in the evening, and I typically clean up around the property, fold laundry though observing a Television set clearly show, put absent apparel, etcetera. I sometimes study a reserve during this time way too!

10:00

Head up to mattress, unless I’ve started a new exhibit and then I never go up until 11, oof! (Pirate Gold of the Adak on Netflix was so great and got me all off timetable, ha!)

Anddd that’s it! Does this seem just about anything like a working day in your daily life? Permit me know in the remarks!
