The Washington Capitals re-signed forwards Brett Leason and Beck Malenstyn in a pair of depth moves, the team announced Monday. Leason, 23, and Malenstyn, 24, signed two-year deals.
Leason’s contract is worth $1.55 million and is a one-way deal, meaning he’ll be paid the same amount in the NHL and the American Hockey League. He made his NHL debut last season and had three goals and three assists in 36 regular season games.
