Standing her ground. Maren Morris is no stranger to obtaining on the net criticism about her appearance, her parenting capabilities or even her profession, but she’s not permitting that get her down.

This isn’t political,” the “Middle” songstress tweeted in August 2022, shortly following calling out Brittany Aldean’s alleged transphobia. “We’re calling another person out for staying transphobic and considering it is hilarious. It isn’t.”
Morris produced headlines several hours earlier immediately after she criticized Jason Aldean’s spouse above her controversial concept evaluating increasing out of a “tomboy” period to gender transitions.
“I’d seriously like to thank my mom and dad for not switching my gender when I went as a result of my tomboy stage. I adore this girly everyday living🤎✌🏼,” the blogger — who wed the Georgia native in 2015 — captioned an Instagram natural beauty tutorial.
Soon after both of those Morris and Cassadee Pope slammed Brittany’s remarks, the boutique owner doubled down on her place.
“Advocating for the genital mutilation of little ones below the disguise of enjoy and calling it ‘gender-affirming care’ is one of the worst evils,” the YouTube persona claimed in an Instagram Story assertion at the time, tagging Pope’s account. “I will often guidance my youngsters and do what I can to protect their innocence. The other working day, [my son] Memphis wanted to be a dinosaur and tomorrow [my daughter] Navy will want to be a cat, they’re children.”
She continued: “Some moms and dads want to be approved by society so poorly that they’re eager to make daily life-altering decisions for their children who are not aged sufficient to totally understand the penalties of these steps. Enjoy is protecting your child until they are mature adequate as an grownup to make their have lifestyle decisions.”
Brittany then shaded Morris’ involvement, nicknaming her “Karen Morris.” The “Bones” songstress didn’t choose that shade lying down.

Ryan Hurd — who married Morris in 2018 — had his wife’s back again, noting by means of Twitter that he’s “so proud” of her advocacy initiatives.
